Wk7 – Classmate Conversation – Kirlous Tadros

Kirlous Tadros, Kiro Tadros

wow I am very short

This past Thursday, I had the pleasure of meeting Kirlous Tadros, also known as Kiro. He is a second year Biology major, who wants to become an orthopedic surgeon. Kiro told me he wants to become a doctor because he loves helping people, and also the fact that most of his family are doctors. Besides his medical lineage, Kiro is from Cerritos and communtes from there to CSULB. I asked him what are some of his hobbies, and he replied saying that he enjoys hanging out with friends, swimming, playing sports, especially basketball, and playing ppol. He has an older and younger sister, and admits that he is treated a little better, being the boy of the family. His favorite food is Korean barbecue and does not like pets. Yet, if he could have one, he would get an English Bulldog because they are very cute. Kiro is Egyptian, but said that he is always mistaken as being Hispanic, Greek, or Indian. He also told me that he was able to visit Egypt last summer, and the experience was amazing. In ten years, Kiro finds himself finishing his residency, with a lot of loans to pay off. He also sees himself finally starting his medical career.

I then asked him the question of the day regarding which color he would dye his hair and why, and Kiro answered saying that he would dye his hair a neon green because it would make him stand out.

We ended up talking about the education system in the United States, and Kiro admits that he does not like how it is set up. He said that it is quicker to get through college and get a job in other countries since they did not have to do any general education classes, and he wishes it was the same here in the states.

Well, it was really cool talking to Kiro and I hope I get to talk to him in the future!
